Communities in School Town Hall: Powering the National Graduation Rate
Posted by

How can we attain the goal of reaching a national graduation rate of 90%? American Graduate will present live coverage of the Communities in Schools Town Hall session, "Powering the National Graduation Rate and Fueling our Nation's Economy" on January 21, 2016.
Session Description:
The goal of reaching a 90% national graduation rate is achievable—but only if there is clear understanding and action about: 1) the risks of leaving behind low-income students who are most risk of dropping out and 2) the benefits, which include the significant impact of a high school diploma on our nation’s economy. Thought leaders engaged in raising national awareness of this issue will talk about what can be done to amplify this message.
Moderator:
Dan Cardinali, President, CIS National
Panelists:
Jack Galmiche, President and CEO, the Nine Network of Public Media
John Gomperts, President and CEO, America’s Promise Alliance
Governor Bob Wise, President, Alliance for Excellent Education
