Junior League of Detroit
To be eligible, students must plan to continue their education at public/private colleges or vocational schools as a part- or full- time student between fall of 2016 to spring of 2017. The scholarships are open to female Wayne County, Michigan residents or female students attending high schools in Wayne County, Michigan. Scholarship award checks will be payable to colleges in the students' names.
Michigan Retailers Association Scholarships
Deadline: April 1, 2016
MRA’s college scholarship competition begins in January each year. Applications are due by April 1. To be eligible, the student applicant or a parent or guardian must work at a business that is a member of MRA. High school seniors and college freshmen, sophomores and juniors may apply.
Senator Philip A. Hart Memorial Scholarship
The Philip A. Hart Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to up to three Michigan students whose ideals and goals reflect those of the Senator. The scholarship is a full-time tuition award and is renewable based on meeting the distinguished scholarship renewal criteria.
Detroit Omega Foundation, Inc.
Applicants must be African-American male Detroit area residents who have been accepted for admission by a four-year accredited historically black college or university (HBCU). Proof of enrollment in an HBCU is required before any funds are issued.
Detroit Regional Chamber – Detroit Scholarship Fund
The Detroit Scholarship Fund (DSF), administered by the Detroit Regional Chamber, ensures that any Detroit-resident student graduating in the spring of 2016 from a high school in the city of Detroit will have a tuition-free path to an associate degree or technical certificate* at any one of five participating community colleges.
Lawrence P. Doss Scholarship Foundation
The Mission of the Lawrence P. Doss Scholarship Foundation is to provide financial assistance and mentoring opportunities for disadvantaged city of Detroit high school seniors interested in pursuing careers in the fields of accounting, finance, management and business at the college level.
Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan
The Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan manages more than 20 scholarship opportunities directly through their single-step online application process. While every student in southeast Michigan is eligible for at least one of the scholarships listed, many students will be eligible for multiple scholarships.
